Happy Wednesday

I hope you week has been full of fun so far? Mine is flying by a little too quickly! I have something on every night and am crazy busy at work too. I dont  mind this week going quickly though as I am really looking forward to the weekend. It is the fabulous Miss Bunn's 30th bday and she is having a 1920's themed party :)

Inspired By: Skulls and Roses necklace

Happy Friday!!

I am lucky enough to be enjoying an extra long weekend as I had today off work and also I have treated myself to Monday off work too :-). As always I have lots of lovely plans with my sister and some of our best friends so my time will fly but for now I am going to stop long enough to write this blog and enjoy the pictures of these nails that I am excited to show you.

Pink and Copper: Glitter Gradient

Good evening lovelies

This week has been all about gel nails for my lovely clients. Tonight is no exception, however the client just so happens to be my little sis :-). We are going to do Laura's nails and then cook ourselves something lovely for tea and chill out with our four doggies and a glass of wine.

Here are my nails of the day... Super simple...

Inspired By: Our table name cards

Good evening lovelies

As well as nail art I also enjoy dabbling in a little art and crafts. For as many years as I can remember I have always made name cards for our Christmas table and although we no longer stay in and cook the main lunch time meal we do still have a bunch of family over in the morning for sausage rolls and bucks fizz. These nails match the name cards almost perfectly.. :-)

Clothes Show Nails: Inspired by my dress

Good evening lovelies

A little break from Christmas nails... tonight I will show you the nails I wore at the Clothes Show a few weekends ago and also a picture of all the lovely goodies I treated myself too :-)

I started with a polish from Barry M that I believe is called Burgundy. Unfortunately this particular bottle has no label on the bottom so I hope I have got my online research correct :-)

Nails: Skulls and Roses

Good evening lovelies

I hope you are all doing well? I had such an amazing weekend with my family and friends celebrating my sisters birthday. We had a garden party hosted by my dad on Friday, a full English breakfast by the river on Saturday and then a lovely meal with 8 of our best friends on the Saturday night. Samantha and I even built our own balloon tower while we were decorating the room ready for the meal - Impressed! :-)

Textured Polish Challenge: the Love Skittlette

Good evening

Another week, another mini challenge! This time I decided that I like wearing my pink Barry M texture polish so much that I am going to keep it on all week and just change the polish on the other nails. All week my manicures will feature Kingsland Road on my index and little finger nails so first I will tell you a little about that polish...

All My Favourite Things: Skittlette

Good evening lovelies

TGI Friday! Its been an incredibly busy week for me. I am extending my team by 9 people and in order to find that many amazing people I have so far held upwards of 35 interviews and only picked 4 so far! I am sick of the sound of my own voice and definitely bored of the 10 interview questions I picked. Oh Well!

At least my nails are looking fabulous though... ;-)

Pink Boa and Circles

Happy Saturday!

I am loving this extra long weekend and definitely plan on making the most of my time. Got some secret errands to run today as the count down to my little sisters 30th birthday begins and then I am having dinner with friends. Tomorrow is the local All About Dogs show that I am really looking forward to and then in the afternoon I am watching a friends husband sing live in a pub by the river. Busy busy!

Here are some candy cute nails...

Sally Hansen: Swatch Spam

Happy Sunday lovelies

Time for a little bit of Sunday swatch spam :-)

These are my new Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear polishes that I just couldn't resist showcasing as a stand alone post.

Each colour has a great formula, required two coats and dried in super quick time. I would definitely buy more colours from this collection, especially if I found them in Poundland again!

Red Nails with Chalk Dust topper

Happy Wednesday lovelies

Mid way through the week already! It has been a busy one for me as work is crazy busy and I also have something planned for each evening this week too. I will be glad to get a rest on Saturday :-).

Due to my busy week I thought it appropriate to go for simple yet effective nails...

Loves Me Not Filigree Nails

Happy Monday lovelies
How was your weekend? We had such a busy one but it was all really good fun. Unfortunately the weather was not as amazing as we had hoped but that didnt stop us and we went ahead and either hosted or attended the BBQ's we had originally planned. On Sunday evening the weather recovered and the sun finally came out so we were able to sit outside and enjoy ice-cream :-).

Regular follows will know how much I adored Sally Hansen Loves Me Not the first time I wore it so I was excited to wear it again with one of my all time favourite stamped patterns.

The original swatch post can be seen here.

Purple nails with Paisley

Good evening lovelies

I almost didn't want to cover this fantastic colour up with my nail art but after an hour or two I decided to use one of my all time favourite stamp designs in a nice complimentary colour.

The base colour is Plum Power by Sally Hansen. I love this colour so much that I dedicated a whole post to it yesterday which really does not happen very often here on LiPP.

Using my most trusty of all stamping polishes - Barry M Silver Foil - I stamped the perfect paisley print from Bundle Monster plate BM 315.

This colour absolutely makes me want to wear purple more than I would usually and what can I say about this stamp other than its paisley perfection.

As I mentioned yesterday today is our 5th Wedding Anniversary so we are off celebrating and spending lots of time together on nice walks and no doubt eating good food :-)

Swatch: Plum Power

Good evening lovelies

I've got a simple and quick post for you tonight. This fabulous colour was just too good to not share with you as a dedicated swatch post. For you viewing pleasure is Plum Power...

Purple is a colour I dont reach for all too often so when I saw this lone little bottle on the shelf in my local Poundland I couldnt resist and I am glad I didnt.  The application was flawless and the colour, particularly in sunlight, is stunning! I especially love the pink and purple glass flecks that translate really well from the bottle straight to the nail.

Check back soon to see how I finished this off with some simple stamping :-)

It's our Wedding Anniversary tomorrow so we have a couple of days off work to spend some quality time together and really spoil each other. Cant wait!

Loves Me Not with Heart Accent

Good evening lovelies

I think I may have an obsession with this colour! Literally I cannot stop looking at my nails and I could only bring myself to do the most minimal nail art on this manicure as I did not want to cover it up!

Nails of the day...

Two ridiculously perfect coats of Sally Hansen Loves Me Not... Enough said! Just look at these lovely pictures.

One very small accent heart created using Barry M Silver Foil and a design taken from plate BM 08.

This makes me realise that sometimes... simple really is best!

I could not love this colour anymore and will definitely grab back up bottles of this!

Gradient Nails with Chalk Dust topper

Good evening lovelies

Here we are again, more than half of the working week already done :-). I am not away with work this week and have purposely kept my diary as clear as I can so I actually get some evenings at home. Last night I started working on some nail polish rings so I look forward to spending a few more hours completing them tonight. I also finally got around to using my lovely new indie inspired black and white glitter topper for my nail of the day...

I started with a base of Lavendar Cloud by Sally Hansen. Lavendar Cloud is a white polish with the subtlest hint of lilac mixed in. In all honesty there was not quite enough hint of lilac for my liking and this polish dried to a bright white finish. The formula was good as I have come to expect from the Sally Hansen Salon Manicure range.

Sally Hansen - Lavender Cloud

Using a small piece of make up sponge I gently  sponged Barry M Bright Purple onto the tips of each nail. I didnt worry too much about blending as I knew I was going to add this lovely glitter topper as a finishing touch.

Chalk Dust is the best glitter topper I have used in ages! I love how simple it is yet how effective it will look over every colour. I only had to apply one coat to get this look so you can see how chock full of glitter this clear polish base actually is.

Chalk Dust contains black and white hexagonal glitter varying in size from very large to very small - it really is that simple!

How do you like this look? Are you a fan of black and white glitters? I cannot wait to try this again and I am defintitely going to break out my matte top coat next time.
