Back to work for me today but I dont mind as its only a four day week and then I have all of next week off. Fingers crossed for sunshine :-). Last night was our monthly sister night out to Yo Sushi. I just love that place and always look forward to our 'Blue Mondays'!

Textured Blue and Silver: Simple Birthday nails

After my quite extravagant nails from yesterday's post I thought I would share with you the much calmer and simple nails I wore on the day of my birthday (a week ago today). For my birthday this year, my little Sis took me to Yo Sushi for tea on the eve of my birthday. We had a cheeky Prosecco and treated ourselves to the beef and chilli dish from the yellow menu that we had been craving for a while (as well as 9 dishes from the Blue Monday menu). Then on the morning of my birthday Laus arrived with the biggest stash of presents you have ever seen and whisked me off for breakfast and a full day of shopping. I was one happy birthday girl.

As well as nail art I also enjoy dabbling in a little art and crafts. For as many years as I can remember I have always made name cards for our Christmas table and although we no longer stay in and cook the main lunch time meal we do still have a bunch of family over in the morning for sausage rolls and bucks fizz. These nails match the name cards almost perfectly.. :-)

I am so looking forward to this weekend... Yes I know I always say that but that's because I always am. I love spending quality time with loved ones and this weekend will be no exception. Mr LiPP is planning a nice meal for us tonight so I can just relax with my feet up and really unwind after a long week :-)

Can you believe its the middle of the week already? Another busy week for me so time will fly by and I am glad as I have lots to look forward to at the weekend. A beauty party with all my girlfriends, a marathon DVD and sleep over night with my sister and as much time with my lovely husband as is possible to fit into one weekend!

How are you all doing? I had such a lovely busy weekend that I just did not have any time for blogging but I hope to make up for it this week :-). Regular followers will know that I had lots of lovely plans for the weekend including tickets to see Scouting for Girls on Sunday night. I think this is the fourth time I have seen them live but they are always so fun that I really would go a fifth time if I could :-).

This is a beautiful metallic green polish that applies perfectly in one coat and will be just perfect for stamping too :-)
