Back to work for me today but I dont mind as its only a four day week and then I have all of next week off. Fingers crossed for sunshine :-). Last night was our monthly sister night out to Yo Sushi. I just love that place and always look forward to our 'Blue Mondays'!

Tonight I am going to show you two pretty textured polishes from the Mariah Carey Holiday 2013 collection. These are textured polishes however OPI calls them Liquid Sands. I got these little mini bottles in a Sallys sale a while back.

Textured Blue and Silver: Simple Birthday nails

After my quite extravagant nails from yesterday's post I thought I would share with you the much calmer and simple nails I wore on the day of my birthday (a week ago today). For my birthday this year, my little Sis took me to Yo Sushi for tea on the eve of my birthday. We had a cheeky Prosecco and treated ourselves to the beef and chilli dish from the yellow menu that we had been craving for a while (as well as 9 dishes from the Blue Monday menu). Then on the morning of my birthday Laus arrived with the biggest stash of presents you have ever seen and whisked me off for breakfast and a full day of shopping. I was one happy birthday girl.

A quick post from me tonight as I just got back from Sister Monday at Yo Sushi and I am so full up that I need to lay down! We tried lots of new dishes tonight and we still have not found one that we dont like!

I had such a good time at the beauty party last night. My final nail polish purchase count is a little embarrassing but I will share it anyway... 25 Orlys, 4 IBDs, 1 Seche Base Coat as well as a Kaeso Facial Kit, Matrix Exquisite Oil and a selection of files. Ouch... poor bank account ;-)

Middle of the week already! Where does time go? I wont lie... I am exhausted already! I recently recruited 10 new staff into my Norwich based office and just keeping up with them all is enough to tire anyone out, not to mention one 'gentleman' left after a day so I need to go through the recruitment process again! Grrrr!!

Oh well at least I have lovely nails to make me feel better :-)

Textured Princess Polish

Tonight I am going to show you a beautiful new textured polish from my favourite polish brand... Barry M. Unfortunately I have been really poorly over the past three or four days with the most rotten cold I have had in years. Luckily Mr LiPP, my knight in shining armour, has been on hand to look after me and has done all the cooking, food shopping and house work this past weekend. As if all that wasn't amazing enough he also stopped by the local Superdrug and got me four of the new Barry M's as a 'get well soon' gift! Best Hubby ever! :-)

Challenge complete! I made it through the full week with the same textured polish on all nails except my middle and ring fingers. It was the perfect week to do this challenge as my personal nail painting time was limited to less than ten minutes a night! I've done 5 sets of gel polish nails, 2 sets of gel pedicures and been out for a lovely meal to Ask Italian. Busy!

Another week, another mini challenge! This time I decided that I like wearing my pink Barry M texture polish so much that I am going to keep it on all week and just change the polish on the other nails. All week my manicures will feature Kingsland Road on my index and little finger nails so first I will tell you a little about that polish...

New Barry M collection: Royal

New collection alert!!

Just a quick sneaky peek of a new collection due this Autumn. These beauties are from the brand new Royal Collection and will be named: Duchess, Princess, Majesty, Lady and Countess. Each of these polishes is textured (like the summer pastel collection) and super sparkly.

You all know I love Barry M more than any other make of polish so no doubt I will buy them all :-).

Barry M New Releases!

I always get excited when I find out that Barry M has new polishes coming out!

This time is no exception as not only are Barry M adding to the gorgeous Gelly Hi-Shine range but there will also be four completely new textured polishes which I guess will be similar to the latest craze of OPI Liquid Sand polishes.

As you can see these are four fantastic new shades for this collection - I cannot wait to get my hands on these! The new shades are exotic fruit inspired colours and will be called Papaya, Dragon Fruit, Lychee and Green Berry.

Next up the Textured Nail Effect polishes...

These polishes are designed to add some grit to your nails for a really unique matte finish. These 4 shades will be perfect for Spring/Summer and are aptly named after the famous haunts where Mr Barry Mero began his early career... Kingsland Road (Pink), Atlantic Road (Blue), Ridley Road (Green) and Station Road (Yellow).

These will be available from February 13th - just in time for Valentine's (hint hint Mr LiPP)
