Good evening lovelies
A little break from Christmas nails... tonight I will show you the nails I wore at the Clothes Show a few weekends ago and also a picture of all the lovely goodies I treated myself too :-)
I started with a polish from Barry M that I believe is called Burgundy. Unfortunately this particular bottle has no label on the bottom so I hope I have got my online research correct :-)

Halloween Nails: Purple and Pumpkins
Happy Saturday lovelies
Ok so now I made a start on the Halloween theme I cant stop! What is it with me a theme? I just get carried away :-). Yesterday I thought it was to soon, today I could not wait to stamp pumpkins!

Fruity Polishes and Flowers
Good evening lovelies
Just a quick post from me tonight on my super short nubbies. My poor little nails are not in great condition at the moment so I ended up taking them right back to prevent any further splits. Oh well... they will soon grow :-)

Watermelon, Flowers and Grapefruit
Good evening!
I hope you are all well and had fantastic weekends? While I was very glad to not be at work we did spend the whole (and I mean whole) weekend doing essential DIY following a serious leak in our shower which resulted in considerable damage to the bathroom and kitchen. We literally had to rip out the full bathroom suite and start again with all new stuff :-(.
We are not quite finished yet so I am afraid my nails and cuticles will continue to suffer but I will soldier on and still change my polish as often as I can!
I stamped using Konad White and one of my go to stamping patterns taken from playe BM 224.
Finally I added some co-ordinating dots using Barry M Gelly in Grapefruit.

I used two coats of Barry M Gelly Watermelon as my base colour. It was a little on the thick side but I guess thats why they are marketed as one coaters (still needs two coats in my opinion).

These Gelly colours have a high shine formula but I added my usual top coat for extra shine and extra protection. I love the colour and formula of Grapefruit as seen here but I am not a huge fan of this forest green shade - Watermelon. I wanted it to be brighter and more juicy looking!
Take care

Nude Base with Bright Flowers
Today I fancied a change so I decided upon light nails with a splash of colour. I am really not sure how I like these nails. I honestly got more compliments about them than I do some of my favourite and more complicated designs but I remain neutral about them.
I started with a base of Sally Hansen Insta Dry in Quick Sand. It is a slight tan coloured neutral polish with contains lots of tiny silver sparkles. Unfortunately I think the sparkles are all stuck to the inside of bottle as I cannot see any on my nails which is a real shame.
The pattern is stamped using Konad Black and plate BM 224. Using my dotting tool I then added in some random splashes of colour with Sally Hansen Insta Dry Brisk Blue, exposed All Nighter and exposed Spontaneous.
Not going to say too much more on these - I dont think a neutral base appeals to me as I am so used to colour these days :-)

Grey with Pink Flowers
Did I ever tell you that I love grey and pink together? The room dedicated to my nail obsession is decorated in grey and pink and it looks so pretty. I will take pictures soon and put them on here so you can see just how dedicated I am to this desire to collect nail polish :-).
Needless to say that todays manicure is indeed grey, pink and flowery. Pretty!
To create this look I used a brand of nail polish that I have never heard of before... NV. I got 8 gorgeous bottles from this collection just recently and this is my first manicure to include one of the colours. This pretty pale grey is called Puddle and it is such a great colour for me. Full coverage in two coats and dries in super quick time.
I then stamped this floral design using BM 224 and another new to me brand of nail polishes... exposed. This bright magenta pink is called All Nighter. It is quite a thick polish which makes it perfect for dtamping and I will be interested to see how it works as a base colour in the future. It dries very matt so I added top coat to make my nails nice and shiny.
What do you think of grey and pink together. Is this a combo you would wear? If so I would love to see pictures.
Take care

Foxglove & White
Good evening lovelies. Tonight I decided to push the boundaries and try a shade I have had in my untrieds for quite a while. I purchased it from Boots No 7 using the £5 off promotion so this was the bargain price of £2. It is quite hard to describe the colour as depending on the light it could be from the purple family or then again it could be the pink family?
What do you think?
The application of this polish was much better than I expected and the above picture was taken after two thin coats were applied with one coat of quick drying top coat. This polish looked good enough for me to not cover with a stamp but you know me I just cant resist...
I stamped using Konad Special Polish in White using BM 224. This is such a pretty pattern that I have used on many occasions in the past and I love how it works so nicely with this lovely colour from Boots.
I am really pleased with all my experiments so far this week - I am craving a good Barry M nail polish but am going to stay strong and continue my experiments without them :-). This is extra hard for me as a package just arrived with another 5 hard to find Barry M polishes in.

Will it be... a Boy or a Girl?
We are soon to become Auntie and Uncle for the 4th time as Craig's sister Vicky only has two weeks left until her due date. Vic and Kei decided to not find out the sex of the baby before the birth so this manicure is dedicated to our excitement of finding out when junior finally arrives! Of course we are 100% happy either way but this manicure is just a little bit of fun inspired by the bottle print on new plate BM 307.
Firstly the girl nail art. Many colours and plates were used so I will provide a quick summary and if you would like anymore detail then just drop me a note in the comment facility below.
Index - Barry M Bright Pink, stamped using Konad White with flower print on BM 224
Middle - Barry M Stawberry Icecream, stamped using Color Club Hot Like Lava with the bottle and heart print on BM 307
Ring - Barry M Pink Flamingo, stamped using Konad White with the heart design on BM 317
Little - Barry M Shocking Pink, stamped using Konad White with the teddy bear design on BM 312
I love all these pretty pinks together and would definately wear a skittle mani with them as base colours again in the future. What do you think?
Index - Barry M Cyan Blue, stamped with Konad White using the bottle and hearts design on BM 307
Middle - Barry M Turquoise, stamped with W7 Black using the smiley faces design on BM 304
Ring - Barry M Cobalt Blue, stamped with Konad White using the hearts design on BM 317
Little - Barry M Blue Moon, stamped with Color Club Cold Metal using the star design on BM 21
Thumb - Essie (the unknown beige), stamped with Barry M Denim using the square design on BM 320
These blues look super cool together and again make a great base for a skittle mani. Look out for it in the future as I am dying to call it the Barry Blues!

Now onto the boy nail art. Again this is heavily centred around my love for Barry M nail polishes. I have so many blues that I had a hard job just picking 5!

Not long until baby arrives and then I will design a manicure to honour his or her name.
Good Luck Vic and Kei - cant wait for the call to tell us 'its time'!!
