Inspired By: Stripey Dress

Good evening lovelies

Hope you are all well? I have had a lovely relaxing day off today and for once the weather was on my side. The sun shone bright with barely a cloud in the sky so I reached for the sun cream and my kindle and spent a good few hours just making the most of some time on my own. Bliss.

Tonight I am going to show you some nails I did to match a new summer midi dress. Also those eagle eyed viewers will notice this is a rare appearance for my right hand which will explain the awkward hand poses!

Awkward Cinderella hand ;-)

For these nails I started with a base of Barry M White. Whenever I use neon polish I always like to start with a white base as it really helps the neon colours to pop. I then used five polishes from the Color Club Poptastic to paint each nail a different colour.

Once the neon polish was totally dry I used striping tape to lay horizontal lines across each nails and then painted one coat of a-England Ascalon over each nail. I carefully peeled the striping tape off to reveal the neon polish underneath. I love how these look against the fabric of my new favourite dress!

As you can see in the above picture these stripey nails were done at the same time as my Minnie Mouse nails for my niece's 1st birthday party. I carefully matched all my arm candy to my dress and nails too :-).

Its bank holiday here in the UK this weekend so I don't even have to think about work again until Tuesday morning. Perfect!
