Good evening loves
I was supposed to be on holiday today but at the last minute I decided to go into work and save my last day off for in a few weeks time when my sister and her hubby are also off work. We are thinking we might get a boat out and potter around the Norfolk Broads for the day. To cheer me up about being at work I decided to paint a little neon happy on my nails...

Neon Glitter Topper
Happy Hump Day
Tonight the T43 gang is back together and I cannot wait! T43 is the name we use when we go out for tea with our old boss and now very good friend, Paul. We three no longer work together which we are all finding very sad so any excuse we can make to get the T43 gang back together we will take it :-). Tonight we are going for Thai at a restaurant that is actually a boat on the river! Excited!!

Neons on Nude
Happy Wednesday
More than half way through the week already! Ive been working on some custom pieces of nail polish jewellery this week. A friend of mine is going to a wedding on Saturday and has treated herself to a pretty pastel dress especially for the big day. I am making a ring to match and also doing her gel nails on Friday night. The ring is taking a while as the drying time in between sponged layers of pastel polish is quite long but it will be totally worth it.
Time for another manicure inspired by the sunny weather we have enjoyed in the past week...

White and Neon Nails
I promised you I would brighten up these white nails and there was no better way to do that than break out the neon nail polishes. It seems strange to use them in winter but I wanted to see how well they would stamp and show up on such a clean white background...

Grey with a Neon Twist
Happy Hump Day!
I loved my Neutral and Neon from Monday so much that I recreated it with a new favourite colour combination of mine... Grey and Orange.

Good evening lovelies
Hope you are all well? I have had a lovely relaxing day off today and for once the weather was on my side. The sun shone bright with barely a cloud in the sky so I reached for the sun cream and my kindle and spent a good few hours just making the most of some time on my own. Bliss.
Tonight I am going to show you some nails I did to match a new summer midi dress. Also those eagle eyed viewers will notice this is a rare appearance for my right hand which will explain the awkward hand poses!

Flower Stickers Nail Art
Happy Saturday lovelies
I started with three coats of China Glaze Towel Toy Boy on each nail. I wanted to love this polish so much but I just couldn't... it was so thin that the first coat was almost transparent. It dried to a matte finish which just made the streaks even more prominent and even after the third coat I could still see patches I wasn't happy with :-(. On camera this polish looks lovely but trust me in real life it was far from lovely.
The picture below taken with my forced flash on is more colour accurate. I love the colour but hate the formula.
In order to hide the thin patches I decided to add some pretty flower decals that have been kicking around my nail room forever! I carefully peeled each flower individually from the backing and simply stuck them on once my nails were dry.
Once I had the flowers positioned how I wanted them I sealed the whole lot with a good coat of Seche Vite.
This is the first time I have been disappointed with the formula of a China Glaze polish which is such a shame as the colour is so pretty. Oh well the overall manicure looked summery and bright :-)

If the weather is not going to look or behave like summer then the least I can do is fake the summery vibe by making my nails the brightest they can be :-). Tonight we are off to a BBQ so while we will be wrapped up in jumpers and jeans my nails will shine bright.

Neon Coral and Leopard Print Nails
Good evening lovelies
Happy Friday! Just to add to my excitement its a bank holiday weekend so I have a whole three days off to enjoy the company of my loved ones, catch up on some serious swatching and of course write some blogs! Tonight I am having a mini Orly Gel FX nail party with little sis and her bestie Suzi. We are going to be naughty and have a takeaway Chinese first and then I will get into the serious business of nail painting!
Here are my nails of the day...
This is the most amazingly hard to capture on camera polish I have ever had in my collection. In real life it is a super pretty neon coral orange. On all my pictures it just looks like tangerine :-(. I still love this colour so very much.. it is called Pool Party and is from the China Glaze 2010 summer collection.
On my index and ring fingers I used two coats of I Herd That which is from the China Glaze Safari 2012 collection. I cannot tell you how much I love this gold, bronze, red and orange glitter. It applies perfectly and looked as good in the shade as it did in the sun. I am definitely treating myself to I'm Not Lion from the same collection now I know how good this one is :-).
Using small 'blobs' of Pool Party over the top of I Herd That I then used my brand new Barry M Black Nail Art Pen to create leopard print accent nails :-). The Nail Art pen was beyond easy to use and I am glad I also picked up the white and silver versions.
Finally using my Orly dotting tool I added a couple of small dots of I Herd That to each Pool Party nail.
I hope you all have something lovely planned for the weekend :-)

Perfect nails for Shopping!
Today is my almost birthday!
It has long since been a tradition in my family that we stretch our birthdays out as much as possible... one day for celebrating with family... one day with friends... at least one big meal out (or sometimes two)... you get the picture, the more chances we get to celebrate the better :-).
Today was spent with my little sister, just the two of us eating, drinking and shopping! We had an amazing day and I was totally spoiled rotten. I got lots of lovely presents from Laura this morning, including a bag I fell in love with in London back in January and had no idea I was getting, not to mention money to spend on myself in the city - and spend I did.
Here are the perfect nails to accompany my shopping spree...
I started with a base of Warhol by Color Club. This colour is from my new Poptastic collection and is the most amazing neon raspberry pink. I LOVE it!! My camera just could not pick up how neon but still gorgeous this colour actually is.
Using Konad White I stamped the small bows from plate BM 317 on my index and ring finger, the simple heart outline on my middle finger from the same plate and then finally the shopping text on my ring finger and thumbs from plate CH 54.
A close up of my thumb... how perfect is the shopping text for my almost birthday?!
Finally I added a layer of Northern Lights top coat in Silver and while that was wet I stuck some pretty rhinestones in the centres of the bows.
I have had such a lovely day with my little sister and we really did shop until we dropped! :-)

Matching Mani Pedi
**Warning this post contains pedicure pictures**
This post is a new venture for me for two reasons. The first being that I am reviewing nail wraps rather than nail polish and the second being that I have included pictures of my toes! I promise it is justified and done solely for the purpose of showing just how amazing these nail wraps really are.
I have used nail wraps on my toes before (pre the launch of this blog) and was amazed at how easy they were to apply and at how long they stayed on. They survived eveything from a girly weekend in Marbs where my toes were crammed into five inch heels for hours of dancing to being back home in my walking boots for hours of doggy playtime at the marshes. I finally and reluctantly removed the wraps yesterday as they just wouldnt fall off!
These fabulous neon animal print nail wraps are by Nail Rock and I purchased them in TK Maxx as part of a recent small haul. They are perfect for summer and I only wish I had got them earlier in the year so I could have made the most of them in any fleeting moments of sunshine we did have.
The nails wraps come in a pack of 16 so of course once I had finished my pedicure I had 6 left over and decided to create a few accent nails and break out the flourescent polishes to finish the manicure off.
I am so pleased with this look and the fact that you have enough wraps left over to create a matching accent manicure is just the cherry on the cake for me!
For the non wrap nails I used W7 polishes - Flourescent Orange, Black and Neon Yellow. The application of W7 polishes is really good and considering I picked these up for £2 each they are a welcome addition to my slightly out of control polish collection.
I hope you can forgive me for publishing pictures of my toes - it was all in the art of blogging I promise!
In summary, these wraps are easy to apply, great value for money, incredibly eye catching and I would recommend them to anyone.
Thanks for reading
