Good evening lovelies
Just a quick post from me tonight on my super short nubbies. My poor little nails are not in great condition at the moment so I ended up taking them right back to prevent any further splits. Oh well... they will soon grow :-)

Nails designed for Pink Concert
Good evening lovelies
The weekend is here... Whoop!
I finally decided I would show you these nails as unfortunately we recently found out that our postponed Pink gig has actually been cancelled and we will not get to see this tour at all. As you can imagine both little sis and I were gutted when we found out as we had been waiting years for another tour after missing out on the previous one. Looks like we have to box up our pink wigs and false eyelashes for now...
These are the nails I designed for the day, we travelled to Birmingham (2.5 hours from home), checked into our hotel and shared a bottle of wine before we found out our gig had been postponed...
For the base colours I used Barry M Shocking Pink on my index and ring fingers with Barry M Black Multi on my middle and ring fingers. On my index finger I added one coat of Barry M Ruby glitter(bottle not shown) which is a pink and black mixed glitter in a clear base.
Using Barry M Silver Foil I stamped this skull and crossbones design onto my middle finger and then top coated it with Northern Lights Hologram Silver.
On my little finger I used raspberry coloured glitter by Chit Chat nails to make a pretty little accent nail :-).
For my thumb I stamped the word LOVE as the tour we were meant to see was called... The Truth About Love.
Using a black nail art pen I added the word P!NK to my ring finger... et voila
I was really pleased with how these turned out, such a shame the concert was not meant to be for us. We do have lots of other events planned this year to look forward to including tickets to V Fest in August :-). Onwards and upwards.
Have fabulous weekends :-)

Boosh and Lychee: Spots and Glitter
Good evening lovelies
Happy Tuesday. I had a fantastic day today - I was on a nail art course learning how to perfect some free hand designs using acrylic paints and also how to make some clever designs in gel polish before you cure it.
Unfortunately tonight I have to go away for work so will be travelling for about 2.5 hours to get to the hotel and hopefully get a good nights sleep before a couple of days of intense meetings. Luckily I have my fabulous little sister to keep me company which should distract me from how much I will miss Mr L_i_P_P and our doggies.
Onto my nail of the day...
For this eye catching manicure I started with a nice and simple Black and Nude polish combo. The glossy black is Illamasqua Boosh and the creamy Nude is Barry M Gelly in Lychee. I finally treated myself to three polishes from the latest Barry M releases.
Boosh applied like a glossy black dream and Lychee really is the perfect nude. I did two coats of each polish and was tempted to leave them looking that simple... of course the nail art bug took over :-)
Using my trusty Orly dotting tool I used Boosh to add some simple large and small dots to the two Lychee nails. It is the first time I have used different sized dots in this way and was really pleased with how effective they look.
Finally to add a bit of glitz I used Chit Chat Raspberry Glitter on just the black nails. I love black and pink together :-)
I was really pleased with this nail of the day and I am pretty sure you will see more dots like this very soon

Happy Birthday Little Sis
Happy Birthday Little Laus :-)
Today is my younger sister Laura's birthday!!
To celebrate this happy day I designed some beautiful sparkly pink birthday nails and also put together some of my favourite pictures from the past few years as an ode to my little sister, my best friend.
I used Barry M Strawberry Icecream as the pale pink base colour. I then painted the balloons on using Barry M Fuschia. Finally I added a little sparkle by using Barry M Iridescent Pink on my index and ring fingers and a raspberry large hex glitter from a brand called Chit Chat on my middle and little fingers. Thanks to my lovely friend Hayley who bought me this glitter as a surprise a few months ago.
On my thumb nail I stamped the lipstick mark using Barry M Fuschia and added XOXO (meaning hugs and kisses) with my black nail art pen.
The above picture is taken with one of my favourite pieces of jewellery. Its a silver bangle with a very special poem about sisters engraved on it and was of course a gift to me from Laura for my birthday earlier in the year.
Below is the collage I designed showing just some of the lovely pictures we have had taken together in the last few years.
Happy Birthday xx
