Polka Dots and Bows: Peach nails

Happy Friday lovelies

I have decided that this weekend calls for some bright and fun nail art. As I was looking through my ever growing pile of new polishes to swatch I was drawn to this pretty peach from Avon. Although it is quite a pale pastel shade I knew it would make a great base for some eye popping art.

As you can see from the below swatch picture, Painted Peony is a very pale peach with a beautiful golden shimmer. This polish has a lovely formula and I needed three thin coats to achieve this look.

To make this a really fun manicure I reached for one of my favourites... Barry M Gelly in Pomegrante and stamped the small polka dot design found on Cheeky plate 6. I usually do my dots freehand but by using the stamp I was guaranteed a neat uniformed look.

I am absolutley loving this peach and cerise pink combo :-)

My final touch for a little bit of Friday fun was to add this super cute pink acrylic bow to my accent nail. Completely impractical but absolutely adorable! I used a little dot of nail glue (for false nail tips) to apply the bow.

I hope you all have fantastic weekends - I am off to see a friends new house (and get my haircut by her) tonight and then hoping for a bit of a lazy day tomorrow to recover from my busy week :-)
