Happy Sunday loves
Today is Fathers Day and my little sis and I are very excited to be spending quality time with our Dad. The three of us are going for a drink followed by lunch. Today my nails are football related for two reasons. The first being that unless you really are living in a cave you cannot fail to know that World Cup 2014 has just started, I am a huge football fan and get very swept up in the whole England craze. Secondly, football is mine and Dads thing. We talk about it, text about it, laugh and cry about it. Its our Dad/Daughter bond :).

Subtle Stamping: Peach and Gold
Happy Hump Day
I hope you are all having a good week so far? Tonight Mr LiPP is off to the cinema so I am looking forward to a pampering session. I have a fantastic bright cherry pink colour to put on my hair, a face mask from Turkish barbar to (hopefully) work wonders on my skin and a peppermint exfoliating scrub for my hands and feet. Now I just need someone to pour my wine and feed me grapes :-)

Sequins and Polka Dot Nails
Happy Friday!
I am so looking forward to this weekend... Yes I know I always say that but that's because I always am. I love spending quality time with loved ones and this weekend will be no exception. Mr LiPP is planning a nice meal for us tonight so I can just relax with my feet up and really unwind after a long week :-)
Here is how I wore the beautifully textured Eva...

Swatch post: Orly Au Champagne
Good evening lovelies
This is going to be a super quick post tonight as I am away with work :-(. Unusually for me and actually this might be a blog first for me... this post is a swatch of just one polish. Pure and simple... no nail art, no stamping and no other polish!
Behold the beauty of Orly Au Champagne...
These pictures show two coats of Au Champagne with no top coat. As you can see this polish dries to a pearly finish with a lovely subtle shimmer that looked beautiful under my LED lamp.
Below picture with the flash on...
Isn't it beautiful? It dries very quickly and was also beautiful when I used it to stamp a delicate lace style print as seen in this post. I really didnt imagine that this pale shimmer could be so versatile.
Check back tomorrow to see how I turned this into a bright and bold manicure of a very different style :-)

Navy Lace Nails
Good evening lovelies
What a wonderful four days I have had... nearly all of which have been celebrating my birthday in some way so I feel very lucky to have such amazing family and friends who have done so much to make it special for me.
Tonight I am going to show you the nails I wore for the evening of my birthday. Mr LiPP took me out for a lovely meal at our new favourite restaurant and I decided to paint my nails to match my new dress...
I started with a base of Navy Baby by Sally Hansen. The formula was lovely and the colour very rich but I didn't get on with the brush very well so found it a little hard to get the correct shape around my cuticles.
Below is a picture taken against the material of my new dress so you can see where I took my inspiration from :-).
Next using Au Champagne from Orly I stamped using two different plates. Firstly the fine fishnet style pattern was taken from Konad plate M57 and secondly the filigree swirls were taken from plate B 21. In order to replicate the dress I decided to leave the navy showing on some nails so I laid the stamping designs down at various angles.
I was really pleased with how Au Champagne stamped as I am yet to use this polish as a full base nail colour and it looked a little thin and shimmery in the bottle. It really surprised me and worked so much better than a bright white or shiny silver would have done for this particular design.
How do you like the finished design? For me I love any excuse to wear lace effect nails :-)
