Halloween Nails: Spiders and Webs

Happy Halloween Eve!

I hope you are looking forward to Halloween? I have never really celebrated it before but this time my sis and I are off to a fancy dress party and have decided to go all out on our costume and make up. I even have a half day off work tomorrow so that I can spend the afternoon firstly walking the dogs and then enjoying getting ready without the stress of time restrictions.

For the base of these nails I used two gorgeous Orly polishes called Buried treasure (bronze metallic shimmer) and Halo (gorgeous gold and silver hex glitter). The combination of these two polishes is beautiful and as soon as I painted it on I just knew it would be the perfect bling base for my Halloween mani.

Using Konad Black I stamped a selection of Halloween themed images from plates BM H07 and BM 09. My favourite image is definitely the web and spider combination on my ring finger :)

The black stamping shows up so well against the metallic base so I am really pleased I decided to turn this beautiful base into a Halloween mani.

What plans do you have for Halloween? Is it a big family celebration for you or do you prefer to let it go by uncelebrated?

  2. I like this fancy looking Halloween mani and I would be curious to see your outfit too for the party! In our country Halloween is not about costumes and scary things, we usually go to the cemetery (it sounds creepy but it is not), and we light up candles in the memory of the lost ones, this is how we celebrate this holiday.

    1. Thanks you :). Halloween is becoming bigger in the UK but still not as big as the US. Sounds like you have a very thoughtful tradition in your country x

  3. I hope you have an amazing time at the party! That sounds like a lot of fun, I think the dressing up part sounds really great :) Halloween doesn't seem that big here in Holland either, I never really got to celebrate it in England but to be honest, you wouldn't know it was any other day here. I love these nails, I love the glitz and alternating stamping, the spiders look awesome! xx
