Good evening lovelies
Tonight I am showing you a manicure I designed to co-ordinate with a new dress and bag I wore over the weekend. Any regular followers will know that I am a sucker for any combination of pink and green so when I wore my brightest of bright green new dress for a night out I just knew I would reach for my favourite bright pink clutch :-)

Butterfly Nails: Inspired by Nail Stickers
Good evening lovelies!
How has the start to your working week been? I am always so glad when Monday is over and I can get home and unwind with Mr LiPP and the pups.
I have a couple of polishes and stamping plates in my collection that I love so much I have never featured them on this little blog in case I cannot do them justice. Sounds crazy, right?! The owl stamping plate from bundle monster was one of those items where I finally conquered my fear and came up with this pretty little manicure that I was very proud of. Time to conquer another fear/favourite tonight... Barry M Spring Green.
Isn't it just the most vibrant green? I love it.
I created these nails to match some nail stickers I purchased to give myself a little pedicure with. When I saw them in the shop I realised they were exactly the same shade as Spring Green so it was a given that I would finally get to blog about this stunning polish.
For this manicure I started with two coats of Barry M Spring Green and then using my trusty Konad White I stamped these delicate little butterflies found on Konad plate M78.
I arranged the butterflies differently on each nail just to mix things up a little. For the finishing touch I added just one pink rhinestone as I love pink and green together!
How do you like these nails? I realise I am totally biased towards them as green is my favourite colour but I hope you all enjoy them too :-)
Have you tried nail stickers for manicures or pedicures yet? How did you get on with them?

Remembrance Day - Poppy Nails
Today, the 11th of November is Remembrance Sunday.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today. On this day people across the nation pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by our brave Service men and women
Remembrance Day is also known as Poppy day. Poppy seeds which had lain dormant for many years in the battlefields in northern France bloomed with vigour after the earth was disturbed, becoming a symbol of new life and loss. A Canadian doctor called John McCrae wrote a poem entitled "In Flanders fields" which served as the inspiration for people to wear artificial poppies as a sign of remembrance. These are now sold on behalf of The British Legion, a charity dedicated to supporting those serving in the armed forces and former soldiers.
My brother in law, Ashley, is a Corporal in the RAF. He will be posted to Afghanistan again during 2013, as a family we are all very proud of not only him but everything he achieves whilst doing one of the toughest jobs in the world.

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead.
Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch, be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
