Product Review: Burt's Bees Hand Salve

Good evening lovelies

Tonight it is time for tea at my Mum's house. My little sis will be there too so we will spend the night eating, drinking and gossiping :-).

In tonights post I am going to share with you one of my most favourite, and absolutely essential, hand and nail care product - Burt Bee's Hand Salve. The polish I am wearing for these pictures is Boots No 7 Galaxy... which I adore by the way!

On the Burt Bees' website Hand Salve is described as their most intensive hand treatment, packed with botanical oils, herbs and beeswax to moisturise hard-working, rough, dry hands.

I could not agree more. I just love how my hands and cuticles look after I have use this hand salve on them.

The salve has a strong herb like smell which can be a little overpowering. I really like the smell but can fully appreciate it is not for everyone and as you can still smell it long after the product has been absorbed into the skin it is definitely a point for consideration.

The small tin I am holding in the picture above is the perfect hand bag size but as I have been using and loving this product for the last two years I also own the full size tin that more or less travels everywhere with me :-).

Mr LiPP and I quite often joke that when I first purchased the large tin of Hand Salve I was told it was enough for a lifetime supply but now almost two years later the tin is all but empty and I will soon be rushing out to buy another... not exactly a lifetime supply but I do use it daily so I really dont mind :-)

The Hand Salve is quite oily so I usually only use it once I am settled in front of the TV for the evening. I apply it quite thick, concentrating on the backs of my hands and of course around my cuticles. After about 10 minutes of the Hand Salve soaking in I then give it a really good rub into my skin to finish it off and to take away the greasy feeling.

This is a must buy product for me and at only £10 for the large 85g tin it is an absolute bargain! My hands instantly feel much softer, any dry skin on my knuckles will instantly feel refreshed and my cuticles always look that little bit more photogenic after a quick slick of this lovely product.

I hope you enjoy this review - I would love to hear any comments or feedback. Have you used any of the Burt Bees products?

Lou xx

  4. I emptied two full size tins within just a few months...they serve your feet perfectly as well :). I didn't like the herbal smell at first but then got used to it. I just wish it smelled more like the cuticle care!
