Easter Nails: Eggs

Happy Easter

I wasn't really planning on doing anymore Easter related nails but as I sat staring at my pretty pastel polishes I just couldn't resist this quick but effective manicure based on everyone's favourite seasonal goodies... Easter Eggs!!

Any excuse to use these beautiful pastels is ok by me...

To create this sweet Easter treat I used the following polishes, all Barry M's:

Little finger - Blueberry Icecream

Index finger - Strawberry Icecream

Middle finger - Berry Icecream

Index finger - Peach Melba

Thumb - Mint Green

Once the pretty pastels were dry I added a quick coat of Northern Lights Silver Hologram top coat and then stamped the bow using Konad White and the design found on plate M56.

Finally using Barry M White I added lots of small randomly placed dots.

Super cute Easter manicure, done! :-)

Pink and Green Skittle

I Love Love Love Pink and Green!

This pretty little pastel skittle has been on my to do list for such a long time, and I love these two different rose flower stamps so overall this is pretty much a perfect mani for me!

To create this look I started with three coats each of Barry M Mint Green and Barry M Strawberry Icecream. Such pretty colours but I have to be in a patient mood to use them as they each always needs three coats to build a solid colour.

Then I used stamp BM 323 for the large roses and Konad M65 for the small roses and swirls in Konad White special polish. The line and dot design on my little finger is also taken from M65. I then used one of my dotting tools to freehand Barry M Matt White spots onto my middle finger and thumb.

As I was in the playful mood I then used the smaller end of the same dotting tool to add Mint Green dots to my thumb nail et voila...

Excuse the 'dink' on my middle finger nail - the tripod decided to fall on me before I took pictures :-(

Mint and Silver

Following on from the success of my peach and gold combination manicure from a few days ago I have been trying to think up another combination that I could love as much.

I decided to reach for another polish from the Barry M pastel collection and also some embellishments to create an accent nail. Here are the results...

For this manicure I used Barry M Mint Green as the base colour. This is a gorgeous polish but does require three thin coats for a nice solid colour with no visible nail line. I then stamped using Barry M Silver Foil and the swirly line design found on plate BM 205.

I then created a ring finger accent nail (my favourite kind) using three square studs purchased from the Born Pretty Store. This is the first time I have used these and unfortunately I had trouble getting into the packaging and dropped at least 900 out of the 1000 studs all over my carpet :-(.

I think this pretty peach and gold combination still remains my favourite but mint and silver is a very close second.

Sweet Like Candy

Is summer here at last? Man its been hot this afternoon which put me in the mood for one thing... Ice Cream! What better way to satisfy my craving than with the Ice Cream collection from Barry M.

  
Barry M Pastels:

Mint Green on my little finger
Strawberry Icecream on my ring finger
Blueberry Icecream on my middle finger
Peach Melba on my index finger

I started by painting this gorgeous pastel skittle mani which I then enjoyed for a couple of hours before the temptation to stamp took over. The sweet treats on BM 306 were just crying out to be added to this gorgeous selection of pastel colours.

Using Barry M Silver Foil I stamped this sweet candy design on each nail and then stood back to admire the finished results. What do you think... good enough to eat?

Apparently we are expecting more sunshine this week, so whilst it is a shame to be at work it does at least inspire some great summer manicures. Look out for them over the coming days.
