Halloween Nails: Ghosts, Skulls and Eyes

Happy Hump Day

This year I haven't had as much time as I would have liked to try out Halloween designs which is a real shame as I've seen some fantastic inspiration on other nail blogs and Instagram. Tonight I have time to squeeze in a quick and simple stamped mani but at least its very Halloween themed :).

Easy Splatter Nails

Happy Tuesday

Splatter nails have been on my to-do list for as long as I can remember. I absolutely love how they look and really admire other nail bloggers gorgeous pictures and colour choices. I just cant face the clean up that would be needed after blowing nail polish through a straw in the hope that some of it lands on your nail. Time to cheat and break out the stamping plates...

Happy Halloween Nail Art

Happy Halloween lovelies!

Here are the nails I settled on for Halloween. I hope you like them.

A quick run down of the polishes used: Barry M Lime Green topped with Color Club Fly With Me, Barry M Matt White, Barry M Block Orange topped with Color Club Sparkle and Soar.

For the stamping I used Barry M Magnetic Dark Silver and I so wish I had used a rich black :-(

A variety of bundle monster plates were used for the various images not to mention the red rhinestones used as eyes.

I hope you all have a Happy Halloween Night, those of you going trick or treating, I hope your bounty is plentiful :-)

Black Roses on Pink nails

TGI Friday!!

When I was designing this manicure I had in the back of my mind that I had to wear this look for two full days and one of those days included an important customer facing meeting at work. The pressure was on and I ended up sitting in my nail room for a good 30 minutes just staring at all my heavenly little bottles of polish. Loads of gorgeous colours jumped out at me but they were all very bright and bold and did not feel quite right for the look I needed. I finally settled on a popular combo... pink and black.

To create this manicure I started with three coats of Barry M Strawberry Icecream. It really is a pretty colour and has been a great base for many manicures of mine in the past. I originally planned on stamping in Presto Pink by Sally Hansen but the pink on pink combination was just too subtle for my liking so I reached for Barry M Magnetic Dark Silver.

I read online that the magnetic polish ranges are great for stamping as they are heavily pigmented. I was pleased to discover that is totally true. I am not a huge fan of the magnetic manicure look so to find a better use for these polishes suits me just perfectly.

This large rose print is one that you will have seen here on my blog before and you will definitely see again as it really is one of my favourites. The Magnetic Dark Silver looks black on these pictures so I think it must be the magnetic particles that are silver and as I didnt use the magnet you cant see them!

I didnt love this manicure as much as I wanted to but you cant love them all :-)

Have fantastic weekends.
