Barry M: New Release News: Silks

Yay new release news from Barry M!!

As you will all know I am a sucker for Barry M and this collection has certainly got me very interested. These little pretties have a matte sheen to them and will be available in Superdrug on Feb 12th and Boots on Feb 19th at £3.99 each.

I wonder what they will be like to stamp with as they look quite pigmented - like metallics or foils?

Its like I sit at my nail desk and every good idea I have ever had escapes from my mind. That I am afraid to say means I come up with things like this...

I left my least favourite until last. Now in all honesty I have to admit I like these pictures. The colour looks pretty as it has quite an obvious pink undertone which suits me much more and the formula was lovely to work with.

However there is no getting away from the fact that its red... and I dont like red nails!

How has your week been so far? Mine has flown by as its busy (but in a good way) at work. Tonight myself and the little sis are at Mums for tea. Its been nice today knowing that I could look forward to being cooked for and that I also get a chance to catch up on proper girly gossip time with Mum and Sis.

What a fantastic weekend. On Friday night we went to a Spanish themed night at a friends house and ate the most amazing tapas and paella dishes all made from scratch by our hosts Jordan and Faye. On Saturday it was 'Sister Day' so Laus and I meet up with the dogs at midday, went on a lovely walk at the old quarry site and then had a fab lunch with a gin tinnie :-). Saturday evening we had a night of make up and wine. We each picked an extreme make up look and then recreated it. We had such a laugh and the pictures were awesome!

I just could not resist the fantastic half price promotions and ended up sneaking 6 sets into my shopping bag. I didnt confess to my sister until we had left the store as she would definitely have made me put a few back :-)

Tonight I am going to treat myself to an 'all about me' night. As soon as I walk in the door from work I will cook something quick for tea, pour myself a nice cold glass of white and apply a face mask. Can you believe it is Wednesday already? I love it when time flies and it gets ever closer to the weekend :-). As always I have lots to look forward too. On Friday night we will meet up with a group of friends to plan our skiing holiday to Bulgaria. We are going in February for my brother-in-laws 30th birthday and I really cannot wait. Lots to talk about and plan as I have only ever been on sunshine holidays before.

As well as nail art I also enjoy dabbling in a little art and crafts. For as many years as I can remember I have always made name cards for our Christmas table and although we no longer stay in and cook the main lunch time meal we do still have a bunch of family over in the morning for sausage rolls and bucks fizz. These nails match the name cards almost perfectly.. :-)
