Swatch: Barry M Limited Edition: Carousel

Good evening lovelies

I love it when any new limited edition nail polish is released but I love it even more when it is Barry M limited edition with super cute heart print lids. This coral shade was exclusive to Boots and I literally rushed out of work on the day it was released to ensure I got my hands on it. I would hate to miss out :).

Inspired By: Cream and Coral Dress: Gel Nails

Something a little different from me today... I am showing you some gel nails that I created on my little sister, Laura. These were designed to match a stunning dress, that just so happens to be the backdrop to these pictures, which Laura wore to a wedding a few weeks ago.

Inspired By: Lace Top

Good evening lovelies

Time for another Inspired By post. Any regular readers will now that from time to time I base my nail art around a new item of clothing... this time its a pretty new coral and cream lace top.

For this manicure I started with a base of Barry M Gelly in Papaya on all nails apart from my ring finger with has two coats of Barry M Gelly in Lychee.

Using the really pretty lace pattern found on plate Pueen 27 I stamped each finger using the opposite colour to the base. I was going for a subtle and quite natural result so I was really pleased with how both of these stamped.

What do you think? Is this a good match for my new top?

I love the whole Gelly collection from Barry M, I only need a couple more to make my collection complete.

Thanks for reading

Coral, Gold and Butterflies: All in One manicure

Good evening lovelies

This lovely manicure was worn for three days a few weeks back which is unheard of for me ;-). But honestly what's not to love... coral, gold and butterflies all in one!

I started with two coats of In Theory by Color Club. It's a beautiful coral with an orange tone, it was slightly streaky and would need three thin coats if you wanted to wear it alone.

Using Konad White I stamped the thin zebra style stripes from plate BM 223 onto all nails. I really liked how this looked but decided I couldn't quite leave it there...

Finally with Barry M Gold Foil I stamped the small butterflies from Konad plate M57 onto each nail.

The overall look was subtle as the gold didnt quite 'pop' against the white as I thought it would in my head... however, I loved the end result which explains why I wore this look for three whole days!

Good evening everyone :-)

Sunset Coral with White Leaves

Good evening lovelies

Just a quick post from me tonight... I couldn't resist showing you this bright manicure. I am totally in love with this coral orange almost neon shade and it will definitely be one of my top picks in the summer.

Each nail has two coats of NV Sunset as a base. The formula is slightly thin but totally buildable and it dries really quickly. Maybe I should try layering it over a white base...?

I then stamped all nails apart from my ring finger with this pretty print that reminds me of leaves from plate GA 38. Adding the white just made this beautiful colour POP even more :-)

Finally on my ring finger I added one coat of Northern Lights Hologram in Silver and while that was still wet I added in three tiny flat back pearls.

Do you like my sunshine manicure? I am so in the mood for Summer now... :-)

Grapefruit Gelly with Konad

Evening lovelies :-)

Tonight I have the first polish I purchased from the new Barry M Gelly range. I have been very restrained so far and only bought two out of the nine colours released, of course the other seven will eventually find their way home with me but for now let us concentrate on Grapefruit...

This is a stunning shiny coral colour that dries to a mega high shine. The Gelly collection is designed to look like the very popular Gel finish manicures that last for about 2 weeks. They have that super shiny almost plastic looking finish to them but as they aren't set by using a UV lamp they wouldnt last as long as a real 'Gel' manicure.

From reading the press release I had hoped these would be one coaters but this shade definitely needed two coats for perfect coverage. Never mind as I love the colour and enjoy painting my nails so two coats is no hassle for me.

I stamped this pretty design using my new Konad M78 plate. Some bloggers have called this a faux marble effect - it reminds me of the design you get on top of a nice cream slice from the bakery :-). I used Konad White for my stamping polish.

See what I mean..? Yummy

Just one little swatch picture of Grapefruit before I stamped over it... two coats with no top coat. Gorgeous!

This was a super quick and easy manicure but it is so eye catching and I'm really pleased with it. Do you like the look of this new Gelly collection? Does this mani remind you of a cream slice?

Cute as a Button... Damn Right

This colour is from Essie and is called Cute As a Button. It is one of those colours that I am just drawn to and although I know I have very similar shades in my collection I just had to have it. Once I realised the name of this polish is Cute As A Button it was a given that it would end up in my shopping basket as I very often say that same thing to my lovely husband :-).

I could not get the application of this polish as perfect as I would haved liked it so I ended up stamping with quite a full design in order to cover up more of the colour than I had first anticipated.

I cannot decide if this pattern is bows or butterflies? It is very pretty and suits this gorgeous corally pink perfectly. The pattern is taken from BM 205 and I stamped using Konad Special Polish in White.

Everything about this mani is cute so it suits the colour name perfectly. I hope you enjoyed todays post - thank you for reading.
